Clear Solar is dedicated to working with local communities in providing solar power solutions to the council and their constituents.
Successful Solar Suburbs
By the time the federal government called an abrupt end to the Solar Homes & Communities Program on 9 June 2009, over 1,000 households had taken advantage of Clear's Solar Suburbs program to order solar power systems.
Clear Solar is now in the process of installing over 1 MW of clean, solar power generating capacity on rooftops in Brimbank, Hume, Melton, Moorabool, Moonee Valley and Wyndham. The program also involved the Western Region Environment Centre. More importantly, over 1,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide will be kept out of the atmosphere each year as a result of this program alone.
